Breaking Barriers with Fragrance: Amina’s Story
It was Amina's first time as an exhibitor at the Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (DITF) locally known as "SabaSaba" specializing with Amiliz Scent, her own brand of high-quality scented products tailored for local market preferences.
During the exhibition, Amina achieved impressive sales performance and meaningful networking opportunities. She met buyers and distributors eager to partner with her, expanding her market reach beyond her regular customer base. These networking opportunities gave her confidence that her products have the potential to compete with other established brands in Tanzania.
"I received several orders and made impressive sales of my products. I also gained valuable insights and lessons from fellow exhibitors, which will help me grow both personally and professionally" she said.
Most importantly, Amina gained motivation and hope after interacting with successful entrepreneurs at the fair. Listening to their stories of humble beginnings inspired her to keep working hard to grow Amiliz Scent into a household brand. She now believes that with determination and strategic support, her dreams are within reach.
Amina's story is a powerful reminder to other young dreamers: you don’t need to start big, you just need to start. With grit, creativity, and the right support, youth-led businesses can shape the future of trade, innovation, and empowerment in Tanzania.
